SnoValley (aka Snoqualmie Valley) is a region in Western Washington adjacent to the Cascade Mountain Range, 25 miles east of Seattle. The region includes the Snoqualmie River, Snoqualmie Falls, Mt. Si, the towns of North Bend, Snoqualmie, Preston, Fall City, Carnation, and Duvall. Historically, Snoqualmie Valley has been known for its farming and timber production, hydroelectric plant, railroad station, and cultivation of hops for beermaking. The name ‘Snoqualmie’, pronounced “snow-kwall-mee”, means ‘people of the moon’ and refers to the name of the area’s indigenous people, who are a group of the Salish Tribes.
